This series grew out of a time of personal loss, and a renewed appreciation of people's interconnectedness.
It is about intimacy, what we share and what we hold back. The severe geometric planes contrast with the intimacy of the faces within. It is as if we have a view through a contained private space into a close up of the delicate interaction between them.
As in the FACE FRAGMENT series these faces are androgynous. Evans avoids suggesting gender or personalities, focusing rather on universal human connections and emotions.
